Stormy Love

A man sits alone, depressed, as the rain
pours. Pounding at the roof he cries,
hating the forbidden. The little girl inside
her cuts at porcine flesh, making it easy.
As the blood drips on the wood floor,
making a puddle, she thinks of him.
He breaths on the window and scribbles
her name in the fog, as she whispers
into her pillow his. Thunder grows
and lighting guilt's, she tares at her hair
and he punches the wall. Blood stained
sheets and a tear dampen face connect them.

Senses Ignored

I'm a statue, crying.
My hands cover
my mouth, forbidden.
I caress the thought
of us, slashing upon
it. Selfish, abandon
only the enjoyment.
Why? It creates
the twister, slanted rain,
and hate. Pardoning
the new blood, naïve.
Slowly it skips, hitting
me. White knuckles,
black eyes, heart. Wide
open prairies, fine cut
mountains, dammed love.

Poker Face

I wrap myself around you little
finger, purposely. You bend me,
twist me. I gambled once, the dealer
cheated. You are cool now,
just as your lips on my cheek,
still the player your were born to be.
Smooth and charming, you control
the cards. I call, but you bluff.
Finally I fold, surrender
these old nights and discard
my ace of spades for you.

Old Worlds

I see him, smiling, happy, asinine,
from the harbor. Baggage breaks me,
a trunk of communication, locked.
I want to sail on, move on, carry on.
Alone, heroes don't exist anymore.
Save me. Remind me of peace and joy.
Too young to leave, too old to cry,
the waves push me to foreign places.
Pressure builds a hurricane, beautiful life
and monuments, destroyed. Gliding
a paint brush, I wait for a miracle. I run,
a long race ending on the canvas.
I create the light. With every passing
breath I watch you dancing in circles.

Love Song

Your voice sings a ballad,
following the sheet music.
Scratching the high notes,
beating the low.
A symphony, bursting, you
play instruments of love.
Beautifully crying with
the rhythm.
The harmony, difficult chorus
you stress your powerful
voice for. Patients between
the breaks.

Lover

There you are, girl, the amazing lover,
stalking me, seducing me. You glide
your hands over my body like water,
breathe the fire of dragons. I am your
addiction, your only connection.
I don't care for companionship anymore.

Harboring A Prowler

We enter the room cut
for secrets, through
the window the day
becomes weak, we
kiss each other good-
bye. The love is lonely
even as we are pushed
together like the threads
of a carpet, the stitches
of a cut. As he hides,
I seek for hope. I close
my eyes tightly, I'm tired
of counting. One, two,
one hundred. The sun
casts a shadow upon
you, I can easily spot
and ignore. Humoring
you and your cleverness
I walk by and leave
the stealthy air. Allowing
you to wonder about
your skills as the night
creeps into the house.

Desire

Vulnerable seeps into my mind,
breathing hurts and itches my
throat. My cold hands yearn
to grab on to you.
My body twitches and bends,
leaning for comfort. Vision
blurs and heart beats quicken.
I hiss for relief.
Falling into a never ending,
swallowing, thrusting,
and sweaty pool of exhaustion.
I want to scream.
As you clench on to me
and perfection fits elegantly,
I shiver. I am whole, we are one,
and I am consumed.

Lace Tears

I am contained, life leaves, dripping
out. I create an ultra life seeping
as if the mountains grant the clouds
to enter.
A river pleads for emptiness as the willow
forgives the water and lets its branches
free into a world of concrete and stone.
The breaking heart summons cryptic
storms to punish the innocent. Separate
the cries, my praying soul is smothered
with toxic daggers.
Forget love, cut the spirit down. I beg,
grinding my teeth, swearing as if the curve
of a stone stuck my mind.

Kelpie

We walk through twilight
towards the ocean rolling
over our bare feet, cool
sand imprinting images of two.
Thrusting moonlight crawls over
jagged rocks searching for the evil,
seagulls wipe the skies, sweeping
the stars. As the sun scratches
the horizon the dark waters turn
holy, blessing the innocent, cursing
the rest of us. Whispering winds play
behind our tattooed ears as we race
to the end of the pier, hardly breathing
the mist rises kissing our lips.

Heartfelt Punch

I forgive the adolescence,
I forget the clenching fist.
My eyes dart every direction
as the absent minded hand
hits me. I need your strength,
I want your love and stripes.
I am desperate when I refuse
to admit. Leave the weak,
dismiss the fragile. Please.

Dust

A murmur moves me
as waves splash against
my soul. Your voice
steams of truth, radiance.
I shatter, revealing
the hollowness, a pile
of ash. Stirring, the wind
carries me to the shore.
Glancing at the bright
coins in your eyes, I fall.
Settling in the stream,
flecks of me sparkle
in the sun,  but you were
purposely blind.

Accident

Hearts crash and glass

shatters, spread open

souls, blood. Tires

shred, tears are shed,

I rip the safety belt off,

wanting to be exposed,

to you. Screams of help

are whispered when I

speak. Broken promises,

Tail lights explain you’re

gone. Radio blaring love,

I whimper, as the ambulance

carries away my hope.
